Here are a few In-kind Donation Ideas…

Want to make an In-kind donation?…
Unsure what to give?….

We are always open for donations of any kind, even if it’s not on the list. As we grow as a company, our general operation needs expand and in order to keep the cost of our camps and classes down we hope you will be able to make a tax-deductible donation in some way.

Please call if you have any questions or would like to stop by with a donation.

Things you may have around your house….

TECHNICAL AND OTHER

  • A small digital snapshot camera (we could use a few)
  • A mini-dv blank tapes (to record on)
  • A mini-dv deck (for editing)
  • A well preserved mac and/or pc laptop
  • A projector (for movie nights and ACT movie premiers)

COSTUME STOCK NEEDS

Austin Children’s Theater has three places to store costumes; the office, the 10×15 storage unit and a volunteer’s garage. As we get more donations of costumes and set building materials we are running out of places to put them all.

To solve this problem, we need:

  • WIRE HANGERS (you know, the one’s from the dry cleaners you don’t know what to do with)
  • STORAGE BINS (of all sizes)
  • SHELVES (to put the bins on)
  • 10 FT. A-FRAME LADDER
  • PEOPLE WILLING TO SPEND A DAY WITH US ORGANIZING THE STORAGE UNIT (if you’re interested in helping with this please call 512.927.6633.)

GENERAL OFFICE SUPPLIES

We could really use help with some general office supplies. One of ACT fastest growing programs is The Original Work Program, which allows Original Musicals and Plays to be written and produced throughout the year. This Program uses a lot of office supplies alone. For example, the process for just 1 of 3 Original Musical Projects produced a year uses an average of 10 reams of paper, 30 binders, quite a few pencils and practice cds, among other things.

At ACT, all of the necessary supplies for any camp or class are provided and readily available for every student enrolled. We could certainly use all the help we could get to continue to offer all these supplies and art projects as part of the ACT experience at no additional cost to the students and their families.
